The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre invited artists from Moscow and St. Petersburg to sing the leading roles of Lakme and Gerald in the premiere show of Leo Delibes' opera Lakme.

For Honoured Artist of Russia Anna Grechishkina, soloist of the Moscow Music Theatre Helikon-Opera, it’s not the first visit to Krasnoyarsk. She already performed on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House in 2019. But she’ll perform the part of the Indian beauty Lakme for the first time.

Anna has been the principal singer of the Helikon-Opera theatre for over 20 years; she is a recognized master of opera art. “An even voice of crystal clearness and exceptional intonation accuracy,” wrote operanews.ru columnist Alexander Kurmachiov about Anna's performance of the part of Constance de Saint-Denis in Francis Poulenc's opera Dialogues des Carmelites. The Music Life magazine also called Anna’s voice the crystal one in a review of the production of Georg Friedrich Händel’s opera Orlando, in which the soloist played the role of the shepherdess Dorinda.

In addition to this feature of her voice, the singer is distinguished by bright vocal skills, outstanding acting talent, and stage presence. Over the years of her creative career, she has performed more than 30 roles, including Martha (The Tsar's Bride by Rimsky-Korsakov), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart), Adele (Die Fledermaus by Strauss), Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini), and many, many others.

Sergei Kuzmin has been a soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre (St. Petersburg) since 2018; he made his debut on this stage in 2016, performing the part of Rodolfo in La Boheme by Puccini. Now, he performs the leading tenor parts in the operas of Mozart, Rossini, Puccini, Tchaikovsky at this theatre; his repertoire includes about 20 roles. Sergei is the winner of the gold medal of the Seventh Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Novosibirsk, 2008), a participant in the sixth season of the Bolshaya Opera TV show of the Kultura TV channel.
