In March, the orchestra's soloists will make the Journey to France

On March 16, the educational cycle Chamber Music Masterpieces will continue with the concert Journey to France.

Within the project, the orchestra soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre introduce the best chamber music pieces of various eras by composers from various countries.

“France is a country invariably associated with romance and beauty, and French music culture is one of the most interesting and influential in Europe. The concert programme is a fascinating immersion into the history of music composed by the great composers like Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, Fauré, and Franck. We’ll delight the audience with the instrumentations< which are offbeat for the chamber genre. Some works will be performed on the Krasnoyarsk stage for the first time. Don't miss this opportunity!” says Olga Spiridonova, the music director of the project, author of the programme, soloist, first violins concertmaster of the Theatre’s orchestra.

At the concert, Olga Spiridonova (violin), Pavel Studennikov (flute), Andrey Kholomkin (bassoon), and pianists Natalia Sobinkova, Svetlana Mikhaliova, Lev Gritsevich will perform three sonatas - for bassoon and piano by Camille Saint-Saëns, for violin and piano by Francis Poulenc and César Franck, as well as Fantasy for flute and piano by Gabriel Fauré.
