Prima ballerina of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Natalia Bobrova will come to stage in the title role of Sergei Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet on February 13. After the show, there will be an autograph session: spectators will have the opportunity not only to get an autograph, but also to take a photo and chat with their favourite dancer.
Natalia Bobrova graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Choreography School in 2004; during her studies, she collaborated with the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. For more than 20 years, she has performed more than 25 solo parts in classical and contemporary ballets. Among them are such iconic roles as Odette and Odile, Princess Aurora, Marie in Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker respectively, Phrygia in Spartacus by Aram Khachaturian, Lisa in La Fille Mal Gardée by Peter Hertel, Katerina, Cinderella, Juliet in Sergei Prokofiev’s The Stone Flower, Cinderella, and Romeo and Juliet respectively, Catarina in the ballet Catarina ou la Fille du Bandit by Cesare Pugni, and many others. As the ballet company’s member, she toured in the UK, Mexico, Japan, the Czech Republic, Italy.
In 2011 and 2012, Natalia made her debut as an assistant choreographer in the ballets The Hussar Ballad by Khrennikov and Elektra by Strauss respectively. Natalia Bobrova choreographed the ballet Hanukkah (premiered on November 10, 2017). Along with Olesya Aldonina, she choreographed the ballet production Leningrad Symphony (premiered on September 7, 2020).
She took part in Elena Evelson's art project Lust for Life; its proceeds were used to treat children with cancer. In 2015, Natalia Bobrova launched the project Family as a Gift. Thanks to this project, more than 60 children from orphanages have already found families.
Natalia Bobrova is a winner of the Krasnoyarsk regional festival Theatrical Spring in the nominated category Best Female Role in a Ballet Production (for Odile in the ballet Swan Lake in 2015), a laureate of the 5th Open Festival Competition of Choreographic Schools of Siberia in Novosibirsk (2003); she received a scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation (2003) and a certificate from the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Region for creative achievements (2012).
In 2024, Natalia Bobrova was given the medal “For Achievements in Literature and Art of the Russian Federation”. Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Mikhail Kotyukov handed out the award to Natalia.
