Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre birthday: a celebration for audiences

The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will mark its birthday, as tradition dictates, with performances of Alexander Borodin’s opera Prince Igor. Three performances are scheduled: on December 20 and 21, as well as a special show on December 19 for the Pushkin Card holders. The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by a series of celebratory events in the theatre’s foyer on December 20 and 21.

At 5:30 p.m., audiences are invited to the meet-the-artist event with Eldar Nagiyev within the project Half an Hour Before the Show. The Theatre’s Music Director and Principal Conductor will speak about Prince Igor, share plans for the near future, and answer questions from the audience. A workshop titled Ballerina, where participants can paint Christmas ornaments, will begin at 5:00 p.m.

The foyer will also host several exhibitions including displays of vintage theatre posters and costumes, as well as a festive Theatre Mail Station. Guests will be able to write and post greeting cards inspired by the Theatre’s posters to be sent to family and friends. Besides, theatre-branded souvenirs and gift certificates will be available for purchase in the foyer.
