Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre joins the Siberian Longevity programme

The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre has joined the regional Siberian Longevity programme with its concert tour Opera Stories. Within it, residents of Krasnoyarsk aged 60 and older will be able to take part in two behind-the-scenes tours on August 30 at 11.30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Opera Stories offers an immersive journey into the world behind the curtain — a chance to see the theatre from a new perspective, uncover its secrets and mysteries, and hear fascinating stories from its history. Visitors will learn about the construction of the theatre and its very first productions, walk through the foyer, visit the auditorium and backstage areas, and even step inside Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s dressing room, where his costumes from the Vienna State Opera are exhibited.

Participation in the tours is free for those enrolled in the Siberian Longevity programme, but advance registration by completing a short form online is required.

The Siberian Longevity programme, launched in April 2025 on the initiative of Krasnoyarsk Governor Mikhail Kotyukov, offers more than 200 activities for residents aged 60+ at social centers, cultural institutions, museums, and sports clubs across the region.
