Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre prepares for Theatrical Spring

In March, Krasnoyarsk will host the regional festival Theatrical Spring. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre has been nominated for the Crystal Mask award in 13 categories.
 
Within the festival, audiences and expert jurors will have the chance to see four of the Theatre’s productions:
 
March 18 — Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Best Premiere, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor)
 
March 21 — To Love in Wartime (Best Premiere, Best Conductor, Best Director, Best Set Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Costume Design, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor)
 
March 22 — Little Dreamer and His Friends (Best Children’s Production, Best Choreography)
 
March 26 — Turandot (Best Costume Design, Best Actor)
 
This year’s nominees in the music theatre category were selected by a panel of experts including music critic and teacher Elena Istratova, Doctor of Arts and Head of the Faculty of Music History at the Siberian State Institute of Arts Lyudmila Gavrilova, and ballet critic, editor in Chief, and a columnist of PRO DANCE magazine Veronika Kulagina.
 
The winners will be announced on March 27, celebrated worldwide as World Theatre Day.
