The second stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre — located at the Metallurgists Palace of Culture and Sports (30 Telmana St.) — will host an exciting musical voyage: the concert-journey Around the World in 80 Minutes. The event will take place on November 28.
There are many ways to learn about the life, traditions, and people of Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, or the United States — one can turn to the internet or visit a library. But music and song often reveal far more, adding emotion and atmosphere. Music becomes a mirror of each country by reflecting the temperament and character of its people. The guides on this musical journey will be the soloists and musicians of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House.
The programme will feature works by George Gershwin, Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Giuseppe Verdi, Astor Piazzolla, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as folk music of Russia, China, and Israel.
A reminder: the official opening of the KRAZ-Opera stage will take place at 6 p.m. on November 21. It'll be followed at 7 p.m. by the first event on the new stage — a concert from the series Maestro Invites conducted by Honoured Artist of Russia Anatoly Chepurnoy. At 9 p.m. the theatrical concert Femme Fatales will begin.
The concert-journey Around the World in 80 Minutes will be the third event of the project (November 28, starting at 7 p.m.).
