After a long break, the principal dancer of the ballet company Olesya Aldonina gets back to the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

She had taken leave after childbirth. On February 11, Olesya will take the stage as Micaela in the opera-ballet Carmen to the music by Georges Bizet.

Laureate of Russian competitions, Honoured Figure of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region, principal dancer of the ballet company Olesya Aldonina joined the team of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre back in 2005. Over these years, she has performed about 50 leading and solo parts in almost all the productions of the ballet repertoire.

Olesya is not only a ballerina but also a choreographer of ballet pieces and entire productions. She staged the Polish Act of the opera Boris Godunov (2017), created the entire choreography for the children’s opera Peter Pan (2019) and the choreographic mystery performance Leningrad Symphony (2020) along with Natalia Bobrova (this work was nominated for the regional award Theatrical Spring). Olesya Aldonina is the laureate of the 1st prize and the special prize For the Best Choreography of Pieces Choreographed for the Competition at the Russian Ballet Dancers and Choreographers Competition (Yaroslavl, 2019).
