Opera and ballet debut performances in February 2023

In February 2023, the artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will once again present their new interpretations of parts in well-known performances.

On February 4, Sergei Samusev will make his debut in Giuseppe Verdi's Aida as the King of Egypt. Anna Salenkova will appear on the stage for the first time in the choreographic piece in Aida: a bewitching dance of two slaves.

In one of the most popular productions of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Swan Lake by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Anna Ryabenko will make her debut as the Sovereign Princess on February 8, Olga Akinfeeva in Hungarian dance, Ksenia Lyapina in Spanish dance - both on February 9.

Larisa Plotnikova will perform for the first time in Gian Carlo Menotti's chamber opera The Medium (the performance will take place on the stage of the House of Actors) as the "medium" Flora.

A significant number of debuts will be presented to the guests of the Theatre in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's operatic masterpiece Iolanta on February 25. Anna Avakyan will make her debut in the title role of the blind princess Iolanta, Artiom Golubev in the leading male role of Vaudemont, and Sergei Telenkov as King René, Iolanta’s father. Sergei will for the first time perform Barone Douphol, a wealthy patron of the courtesan Violetta, in Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata.
