Already in the first days of the year 2024, the soloists of the opera company of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will for the first time present their vision of the characters well known to the audience.
In Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera The Snow Maiden, the audience will see and hear a noticeably updated cast in early January. Anna Kharitonova (on January 4) and Violetta Grishko (on January 5) make their debut in the title role. The role of Mizgir in both shows will also be performed by debutants: Rauf Timergazin (on January 4) and Denis Grechishkin (on January 5). Andrei Kolobov (on January 4) and Valentin Kolesnikov (on January 5) will, for the first time, take the stage as Tsar Berendey.
In The Snow Maiden show on January 5, there are especially many debutants: opera soloists Victoria Maslyukova (as Kupava), Victoria Kangina (as Lel), Sergei Samusev (as Father Frost), Nina Kiriyenko (as Bobylikha), Edward Harutyunyan (as Bobyl).
On January 13, Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mergen Sandanov makes his debut in Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca as Mario Cavaradossi. The audience will certainly be interested to hear him performing the favourite fragment of this opera - Cavaradossi's aria from the 3rd act E Luchevan le Stelle. In Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Iolanta (on January 14), Rauf Timergazin will perform the wise Moorish physician Ibn-Hakia for the first time.
The January series of shows of the main New Year's ballet - The Nutcracker by Pyotr Tchaikovsky - also features debut performances. Egor Osokin will perform the role of the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer for the first time in the morning show on January 7. Sakiho Kobayashi and Vladimir Bragin will debut in the roles of Columbine and the Nutcracker Fighter (morning shows on January 6 and 7), Olga Peshkova - in the Oriental dance (on January 6 at 12:00), Sakiho Kobayashi and Dmitri Anosov - in the Chinese dance (on January 7 at 12 :00).
