September and October: opera and ballet debuts

In the first two months of the new 47th season, the artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will perform several parts for the first time.

In the opera Manon by Jules Massenet on September 28, Andrey Silenko will debut in the part of Lescaut, the heroine's frivolous brother.

In the ballet Corsaire by Adolphe Adam on October 2, Kirill Bulychev will appear on the stage for the first time in the spectacular part of Birbanto, Conrad's unfaithful friend; Bato Tushinov will perform the inserted dance Forban. In the Pas D'Esclave, the new dancer of the Theatre Anastasia Svetlishina will debut twice (she has just joined the company): on September 21 - in the gala opera and ballet concert opening the 47th season; on October 2 - in the full-length production of Corsaire.

The night on October 9 will be very important for Vladimir Aleksandrovich: he’ll take the stage for the first time in the role of Boris Godunov in the eponymous opera by Modest Mussorgsky. This is a kind of special debut. The fact is that since the premiere in November 2023, the title role in this opera has only been sung by invited artists (Honoured Artist of Russia Dmitri Ulyanov in the first show and Garry Agadzhanyan later). Agadzhanyan will also perform Boris on October 8. And on October 9, the part of Boris Godunov will be performed for the first time in this production by a soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. So, this will be Vladimir Aleksandrovich.
