The protagonist of the play, Repeikin, is a kind person who is ready to help anyone. But the desire to take care of others got the upper hand here, too: he unexpectedly helped his own bride to marry the young man she loved.

On September 5, the Russian and Soviet composer Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov's opera Asya will be presented. It’s based on the eponymous story by Ivan Turgenev; its libretto was created by the Russian composer and poet Nikolai Manykin-Nevstruev. The composer himself defined the genre of the work as "lyrical scenes". The opera was staged for the first time in Moscow in 1900. Asya is a typically Turgenev’s and slightly Onegin-esque sad story of failed love: a girl writes a letter to a man confessing her love to him, and the man even gives himself over to dreams of their possible happiness together, but the heroine’s brother intervenes …

On September 7, the young artists will perform a comic opera. The Crossroads is a musical comedy by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari (libretto by Mario Ghisalberti based on the eponymous comedy by the famous storyteller dell'arte Carlo Goldoni). The quiet life of a Venetian street is disturbed by a newcomer - Astolfi's cavalier who began to take care of young townspeople. His passion agitates the inhabitants of a small square plunging them into a noisy love polygon full of jealousy, passionate confessions, and curious situations. This opera is about all the shades of love in such a diverse and vibrant life at the Old Venetian crossroads.
