On November 5, Krasnoyarsk welcomes guests from Asian countries: soprano singer Zhang Lei from China and tenor singer Ulziyburen Tserenchunt from Mongolia. They will come to the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre along with its soloist, baritone singer Alexander Mikhaliov. A conductor of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre Arif Dadashev will take the conductor’s stand.
The concert programme is called World Classics. Voice of Asia. The story about how Alexander Mikhaliov met with vocalists from China and Mongolia is interesting. Ulziyburen Tserenchunt has already performed on the Krasnoyarsk stage. In February 2023, the opera Eugene Onegin was presented within the festival Slovtsov. Postscriptum. Alexander performed the title role in this production, and the Mongolian tenor singer appeared on the stage as Lensky. The result of this collaboration was united performing in Ulaanbaatar in May. Chinese soprano singer Zhang Lei also took part in it. The concert was a huge success.
And now, vocalists from Asian countries will repay the visit in Krasnoyarsk. The singers will perform popular arias and duets from Italian classical operas, as well as Chinese and Mongolian folk songs; and Alexander Mikhaliov will sing romance art songs by Russian composers and an aria from the opera of the contemporary Mongolian composer Altangerel. So the sound of the voice of Asia will truly be heard in this unusual concert.
The Krasnoyarsk music fans will have the chance to get acquainted with Arif Dadashev even before the Voice of Asia: he will conduct one of the events of the Hvorostovsky Arts Festival - a gala concert of opera stars that will be held at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The maestro’s colleagues - principal singers of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre will take part in it along with the soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House.
