On December 7 and 8, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will host the premiere of the musical fairy tale Dreamer and His Friends by the Krasnoyarsk composer Evgenia Terekhova. The tickets are already on sale.

Production director is Honoured Figure of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Vyacheslav Tsyupa who is also the author of the literary basis of the production and the songs’ lyrics. Music director and choirmaster is Artistic Director of the children's opera studio O-studio, Honoured Figure of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Natalia Tsyupa.

Dreamer and His Friends is a kind-hearted and instructive story about dreamers and pragmatists with beautiful music and songs by Evgenia Terekhova.

“In our show about Dreamer, there are two age camps. "The Guardians" are the senior actors of the O-Studio. They were once little ones. Now, they know everything, have some life experience, and, like senior mentors, help the little ones. They have their own role - they are filming a movie about Dreamer. A film is set on the stage where the whole story takes place. "The Dreamers" are little ones. They are building their dream town mastering future professions - mechanic, doctor, trainer, cook... But when the first failure occurs, they begin to reason in an unchildlike way about ridiculous dreams being of no use to anyone. Entrepreneurism is the main thing. And only Dreamer will remain an impractical romantic. But don't get  anxious. These are just roles. In fact, our little actors are very kind, loyal, and true friends. And they played all this to star in a film about the life of Dreamer,” explained the director of the production Vyacheslav Tsyupa.

It should be noted that new children’s shows have not been staged at the Krasnoyarsk Opera House for three years: the premiere of The Blue Bird took place on December 12, 2021.
