The theatre expert Leila Guchmazova will tell spectators about Orfeo ed Euridice

The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre resumes the project Half an Hour Before the Premiere. Spectators who bought tickets to Christoph Willibald Gluck's opera Orfeo ed Euridice on February 16 and 17 should come to the theatre early: theatrical critic Leila Guchmazova (Moscow) will give lectures in the second floor foyer.

The expert will talk about Gluck’s opera Orfeo ed Euridice, share thoughts about why we need Orpheus today, why we, in difficult periods, move towards time-tested harmony, and also how the Baroque, Marie Antoinette, and the eternal ancient myth of Orpheus are connected.

A graduate of the Faculty of Literary and Artistic Criticism at the Moscow State University, Leila Guchmazova works as a journalist, editor, columnist for federal mass media in the field of culture. She is an expert and member of the jury of the national festival Golden Mask.

Besides, Leila Guchmazova is a famous lecturer and educator, author of lecture courses on cultural journalism and the audiobook Russian Ballet as a Brand.
Her fascinating story about Orpheus and Eurydice will be interesting and useful for both beginning theatergoers and advanced opera fans.
