The theatrical festival Golden Mask will take place in Krasnoyarsk between the 5th and the 18th of September. Three festival productions will be held on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre. The tickets are already on sale.
5-6 September – Seryozha of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre The production directed by Dmitri Krymov is based on the novels Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and Life and Fate by Vasily Grossman, as well as the text Questions written by Lev Rubinstein for this performance.
9-10 September – Son - the production of the Russian Academic Youth Theatre based on the play by Florian Zeller. As its director Yuri Butusov said, this is a story "about Hamlet in each of us."
17-18 September – The Night of Contemporary Choreography - the production of the K. Stanislavsky and V. Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre. The production includes three one-act ballets choreographed by prominent representatives of the world's contemporary ballet dance: Kaash by Akram Khan, A Little Death by Jiří Kylián, Autodance by Sharon Eyal.
The programme of the Golden Mask festival in Krasnoyarsk also includes performances Koromysli. Chapter 1 and Koromysli. Chapter 2 of the Novosibirsk Laboratory of Contemporary Art hosted by the Pushkin Krasnoyarsk Drama Theatre, and Time Out of the Novosibirsk Theatre Krasny Fakel (Red Torch) hosted by the Krasnoyarsk Youth Theatre.
