On April 3, an awarding ceremony of the regional festival Theatrical Spring took place. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre received four awards.
A soprano singer Alexandra Cherpakova was awarded for the best female role in an opera performance: the title role in Leo Delibes' opera Lakme. The Crystal Mask prize was presented to Alexandra by the jury member of the festival, Honoured Art Figure of Russia, production director Valery Arkhipov.
A tenor singer Edward Harutyunyan received the Crystal Mask for the best supporting role in an opera performance: the part of Hadji in Lakme. The award was given to him by a member of the jury, Honoured Cultural Figure of the Region, founder and director of the Mime Theatre Za Dvumya Zaytsami (Chasing Two Rabbits) Valery Zaitsev.
Dmitri Khodosh became a laureate for the best work of a conductor in a music theatre production (also in the opera Lakme). Director Grigory Kozlov, Chairman of the Festival Jury, Honoured Art Figure of Russia, Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg Masterskaya Theatre presented the award to the Chief Choirmaster of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Honoured Cultural Figure of the Krasnoyarsk Region Dmitri Khodosh.
The team of soloists in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Don Giovanni was given a diploma from the Association of Theatre Critics of Russia for an organic ensemble and convincing vocal and acting interpretation of each character. A theatre critic Elena Konovalova presented the diploma to Anna Avakyan who performed the role of Donna Anna in this production. Besides Anna Avakyan, the team of the diploma winners also includes Denis Grechishkin and Sevastian Martyniuk (Don Giovanni), Daria Ryabinko (Donna Elvira), Violetta Grishko (Zerlina), Sergei Telenkov (Leporello), Alexei Sokolov (Masetto), Sergei Samusev (Il Commendatore), Valentin Kolesnikov (Don Ottavio).
