Tickets for May and June events are now on sale

Tickets for the final months of the 47th season at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre — May and June 2025 — are now available for purchase.

The May programme opens with one of the season’s most anticipated events: the world premiere of Alexander Tchaikovsky’s opera To Love in War composed specifically for the Krasnoyarsk Opera House and based on the wartime works by Viktor Astafyev.  Another opera by Alexander Tchaikovsky, Yermak, which had its world premiere in 2019, will be performed on June 26. On May 17, the ensemble Menestreli will introduce their new programme Italy: Love and Harmony, featuring early Baroque vocal music.

Throughout May and June, the Theatre will reprise several recent premieres from the 47th season that received widespread acclaim: the ballet Spartacus by Aram Khachaturian, the operas Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini and Turandot by Giacomo Puccini Other highlights in May and June include:

  • the ballets Catarina ou La Fille du Bandit by Cesare Pugni and La Sylphide by Herman Løvenskiold;
  • the operas Lakmé by Léo Delibes and Without a Dowry by Daniil Frenkel;
  • the musical fairytale The Blue Bird by Eugenia Terekhina;
  • traditional concerts such as How Stars Are Lit Up (a showcase by the Krasnoyarsk Choreography College) and Spring Choral Chapels (the closing event of the Krasnoyarsk Choral Festival), as well as an intimate chamber event, An Evening of Songs by Valery Gavrilin, held in the foyer and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.

The 47th season will conclude with performances of the ballet Spartacus on June 27 and 28.
