The leading opera soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, honored artist of Russia Vera Baranova is invited to perform at several concerts at three Swiss cities.
Concerts will be held at Zurich, St. Gallen and Biel, all performances will be held at the cathedral of these cities from 6 to 13 of June. At the summer mini-festival, which is conducted by the Swiss side, together with the local chorus and symphony orchestra under the direction of maestro Victor Bockman will perform well-known opera soloists from different countries of the world.
Vera Baranova will sing Martha's aria from Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Tsar's Bride, plus a few issues from the opera Norma by V. Bellini, which, according to the singer, she prepared specifically for such tours. Together with the famous Russian mezzo-soprano Svetlana Afonina, they will perform the duet of Norma and Adalgiz, and Vera Baranova will sing one of the world's most famous opera arias "Casta diva, che inargenti" ("Oh, goddess, your gaze is clear").
