On February 5 on the scene of the Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theatre will sound one of the most outstanding creations of Giuseppe Verdi – the Requiem. This work will become continuation of the program of the VII International festival "Parade of Stars in Opera".

The main parties will sound performed by soloists of the Bolshoi theatre – the people's artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko, honored artists of Russia Marina Lapina and Mikhail Kazakov, and also Vsevolod Grivnov.

Verdi's requiem is considered large-scale and difficult work, each its execution becomes the musical event. It demands the powerful conductor's beginning and serious vocal forces. This, perhaps, only large work of the maestro which isn't the opera, but thus became history of music as the most theatre embodiment of the traditional church burial service. Four soloists embody four human archetypes – different in the essence, past life and comers to the final of the existence.

For expressiveness, on an idea of the director of statement Nadezhda Stolbova, this work will be followed by a video series in which series of etchings Francisco Goya are used: "Kaprichos" (Los Caprichos – whims), "Disparates" (Los Disparates – absurd, madnesses), reproductions of works of Michelangelo and the photos of Gothic cathedrals where the Requiem was executed.
