The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre celebrated its 45th anniversary last year. Now, one of the most prominent soloists of the opera company Vladimir Efimov, People's Artist of Russia, singer, actor, teacher, scientist, and public figure, is celebrating the same number of years he worked in the Krasnoyarsk Opera House.
The festive concert will take place on September 25; Vladimir Viktorovich will perform at it one of his milestone roles - the insidious Baron Scarpia from Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca. In the first part of the concert, he’ll perform the second act of the opera along with Anna Kiseliova in the role of Tosca. In the second part, the soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Anna Avakyan, Violetta Grishko, Anna Kiseliova, Daria Ryabinko, Davit Yesayan, Valentin Kolesnikov, Vladimir Lebedev, Anatoly Badaev will take the stage to congratulate the People's Artist. The Chief Conductor of the Theatre Dmitri Yurovsky will conduct the concert.
Vladimir Efimov graduated from the Mussorgsky Ural State Conservatory. For several years, he had worked at the Sverdlovsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. He was invited to Moscow to participate in government concerts at the Kremlin Palace, the Bolshoi Theatre, and the Concert Hall Russia.
Since 1979, Vladimir has been a soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre where he performed several dozen leading and solo baritone parts. He has performed more than three hundred solo concerts throughout the country. He has toured in Switzerland, Greece, Yugoslavia, Sweden, Germany, India, USA, Mexico honourably representing the Krasnoyarsk Region and Russia in various international projects.
Besides, Vladimir Efimov has longstanding teaching experience. For many years, he’s been the head of the Faculty of Solo Singing and Opera Training at the Krasnoyarsk Academy of Music and Theatre; since 2008, he has been a professor. He is also a member of the Vocal Art Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The contribution of Vladimir Efimov to the culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region and Russia cannot be overstated.
