Winners of the Theatrical Spring 2026 festival announced

The results of the regional festival Theatrical Spring 2026 have been announced, with artists from the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre among the winners.

On World Theatre Day, March 27, the festival’s Crystal Masks were awarded in the following categories:

Best Large-Scale Music Theatre Premiere: To Love in Wartime by Alexander Tchaikovsky
Best Director in Music Theatre: Irina Lychagina for To Love in Wartime
Best Choreographer: Margarita Zima for the musical fairy tale Mechtayka by Eugenia Terekhina
Best Costume Designer: Maria Vysotskaya for Turandot by Giacomo Puccini
Best Actress in a Music Theatre Production: Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region Daria Ryabinko for her role as Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini
Best Video Design in Music Theatre: Viktor Pashchenko for To Love in Wartime

Special diplomas were also awarded:

Special Jury Prize: Viktoria Maslyukova for the role of Liù in Turandot
Special Jury Prize: Honoured Artist of the Republic of Buryatia Mergen Sandanov for the role of Calaf in Turandot
Best Youth Production (chosen by the organization First Movement of the Krasnoyarsk Region): the musical fairy tale Mechtayka and His Friends by Eugenia Terekhina
Pushkin Card Special Prize: Turandot—recognized for achieving the strongest results within the programme and meeting its highest standards.
