On September 17, the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss handed out awards to the soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The book entitled “Dmitri Hvorostovsky. Voice and Soul” is published in the Moscow publishing house Veche. Its author is a journalist and writer Svetlana Shishkova-Shipunova.
Between October 16 and 26, the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival will be held in Krasnoyarsk. The Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s hometown will also become the birthplace of a global momentous event organized for preserving and maintaining the unique and rich cultural heritage that was left by an outstanding Russian singer, whose fame drove across all the borders in the world.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre announces a long-term campaign that’ll last its entire 42nd season. Students of children's art schools of Krasnoyarsk are going to take part in it.
In the 42nd season, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is going to introduce several premières of operas by contemporary Russian composers. They are The Haze by Kirill Shirokov, A Feast in Time of Plague by Alexander Manotskov, and Night at the Museum by Pyotr Pospelov. The creators of these extraordinary cultural events will give the opera’s presentations to let the audience encounter with the performances.
On September 6, right before the opening of the theatre’s 42nd season, the meeting of the opera and ballet companies of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre will take place. It’s going to begin at 11 a.m.
The first month of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s 42nd season is lavish of the first performances of both ballet and opera company members.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s soloist, Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mikhail Pirogov will take part in the 6th Lhasaran Linkhovoin Opera Festival, which is to be held in Ulan-Ude between September 15 and 22.
On September 13, the opera Yermak by Alexander Tchaikovsky will officially open the 42nd season of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. And already in the first autumn weekend, the theatre will present productions that introduce the world of opera to young and adult spectators and reveal the secrets of theatrical backstage.
Tickets for the premiere of the comic opera Les Mamelles de Tirésias by Francis Poulenc went on sale. The one-act performance will take place on September 14 at 6 p.m. in the art space loft Quadrat, which is the new site for the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House.
