Krasnoyarsk opera and ballet theatre has been named after Dmitri Hvorostovsky
Krasnoyarsk State opera and ballet theatre has been named after Dmitri Hvorostovsky. This was announced by the acting Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Elena Mironenko today at the press conference that took place on the occasion of the opening of the IX international festival “Stars Parade. Russian Opera. In memory of Dmitri Hvorostovsky”. The festival lasts from February 3 up to March 28, it takes place in Krasnoyarsk.

One-man exhibition of the Estonian sculptor and artist Tauno Kangro
Famous Estonian sculptor and artist Tauno Kangro will take part in the opening performance of the one-act opera and happening “Raphael” on February 9 and 10.

“Raphael”. Opera styled on happening
On February 9 and 10, a happening and Anton Arensky’s “Raphael” opera are performed on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The performance is directed by a young director Daniil Dmitriyev. The show is a part of the IX international festival “Stars Parade in the Opera” and a joint project of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and the Lyubov Kazarnovskaya’s foundation “Forgotten names”.

“The Government Inspector” is coming to us
On February 16 and 17, the legendary Alexandrinsky Theatre (St.Petersburg) performs the classical “The Government Inspector” directed by People's artist of Russia Valery Fokin, on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre. The performance opens the farewell tour of “The Government Inspector”. The play will only be performed in Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg and Surgut.
