“Prince Igor” nearly forty years later
Today, on December 20, the opera “Prince Igor” by Alexander Borodin on our stage - a landmark performance for the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre! This opera opened the first season of the Krasnoyarsk Opera 39 years ago, it was the very first performance in the history of our theatre.

Ekaterina Bulgutova is awarded with the prize “Soul of Dance”
The Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s soloist Ekaterina Bulgutova is awarded with the prize“Soul of Dance” founded by the “Ballet” magazine. Ekaterina is the best dancer in the nomination “The Star”.

Our singers to sing in the Fifth Studio of the VGTRK
On December 21st, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre soloists Ksenia Khovanova, Alexander Murashov, Alexei Bocharov and Alexander Mikhalev will take the stage of legendary “The Fifth Studio” of the “Kultura” TV Channel. Our artists’ performance is a part of the concert series “Irina Dolzhenko invites!” arranged by the Bolshoi Theatre’s singer, People’s Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko.

The project “Unknown Siberia Under Paris Skies” is starting today
“Unknown Siberia Under Paris Skies” - this programme will be introduced in France by our theatre from the 27th till the 30th of November. It is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the first visit of the Russian Emperor Peter the Great to Paris and the establishing of permanent diplomatic relations between Russia and France.

We congratulate our ballet soloists on their well-deserved rewards!
The Krasnoyarsk dancers proved again that they are one of the best in the Russian ballet! The ballet soloists Nadezhda Panfilova and Daniil Kostyilev took the second and third places in a high-profile competition - the 2nd Russian contest of ballet dancers and choreographers. The soloists danced the dance of Ethiopians slaves duo“Ballabile” of the opera “Aida” by Verdi.

The performance of the opera “Il Trovatore” begins at 12 a.m. The outstanding singer brilliantly performed of the main roles of this opera on a lot of the world opera stages.

The outstanding opera singer, Honorary Freeman of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk Region Dmitri Alexandrovich Hvorostovsky passed away today at the age of 55.

The Prisoner of the Caucasus won Moscow spectators’ hearts
The tour is over - the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is back from Moscow. Our artists took part in the 2nd Russian Festival of Musical Theatres "To See Music", which was held at different Moscow theatres. We performed the 39th season opening performance - the opera “Prisoner of the Caucasus” by César Cui.
