At the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, nearly all the debuts of April 2023 will be made in one ballet production - Sleeping Beauty by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
The all-Russian event Rakhmaninoff Day will be held on the day of the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer - April 1, 2023. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre takes part in this event.
Honoured Artist of Russia Sergei Bobrov who had served for almost 20 years as Artistic Director of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, received the first medal of the Krasnoyarsk Region “For Works in the Field of Culture and Art”.
On April 12, Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades will be graced by the invited vocalists: the soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko (mezzo-soprano), the soloist of the the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre Irina Vashchenko (soprano), and the soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Alexei Zelenkov (baritone).
Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Arkady Zinov presented awards to representatives of the cultural sphere of the Krasnoyarsk Region. Among them, employees of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre ranked high.
Within the Russian opera festival Slovtsov. Postscriptum, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will present the Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s opera The Queen of Spades on April 12 and 13. Dmitri Yurovsky will take the conductor's stand at both shows.
The soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Svetlana Cheremnova became a laureate of the 2nd degree at the international competition-festival Stars of Russia in the nominated category Academic Vocal. She also received the Special Jury Prize for Professionalism.
Spectators of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre may start planning their summer cultural entertainment: tickets for June performances are already on sale.
On March 18, the regional theatre festival Theatrical Spring is starting. The programme of this theatrical forum includes the production of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre - opera Lakme by Léo Delibes. This production was nominated in 10 categories.
At the end of March, guest tenor Denis Zakirov will appear on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in the Leo Delibes' opera Lakme.
