A new personnel appointment was confirmed in the administration of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The final concert of the 27th Krasnoyarsk festival Spring Choir Chapels will be held on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The cantata Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and the Samovar Cantata written by the Moscow composer Yekaterina Melnikova for children's choir, pipe organ, and recorder flute and based on the poetry by Korney Chukovsky will be performed at it.
The other day, the Siberian singer (the opera houses of Ulan-Ude, Krasnoyarsk, and Novosibirsk rightfully consider him to be their singer) Mikhail Pirogov performed in Germany. On April 10, Honoured Artist of Buryatia made his debut on the stage of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf as Calaf in Giacomo Puccini's Turandot. His performances will also take place in Germany on April 15 and 23.
Artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre continue to actively broaden their professional skills. In April 2023, members of the Theatre’s opera and ballet companies will have an opportunity to attend master classes by the stars: the Bolshoi Theatre’s soloist, People’s Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko and prima ballerina of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, People’s Artist of Russia Anna Zharova.
As part of the project Cultural Capital of Krasnoyarsk, artists from the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will tour Lesosibirsk and Yenisseisk. The premiere of a new family production will take place in Lesosibirsk on April 12: it’s a children's comic opera The Secret of the Blue Diamond to the music by Mark Minkov.
The Russian opera festival Slovtsov. Postscriptum started on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on January 21 and will end with a large-scale concert Slovtsov Gala on April 16, 2023. Music director and conductor of the concert will be Mikhail Tatarnikov.
An invitation to perform in other regions is a sign of high recognition from professionals; and Krasnoyarsk soloists receive this attention of their colleagues, too. A tenor singer Davit Yesayan again delighted the Irkutsk audience with his art.
On April 3, an awarding ceremony of the regional festival Theatrical Spring took place. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre received four awards.
A guest tenor singer Sergei Polyakov will perform the role of Herman in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on April 12.
The next event of the educational cycle Orchestra Formula will take place at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on April 8. It’ll be called The History of Tango and dedicated to this vibrant music genre, which has become a cultural phenomenon, regardless of dance.
