The legendary ballet dancer, choreographer, winner of the Lenin and State Prizes of the USSR, People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Lavrovsky has celebrated his 80th birthday in Krasnoyarsk.
November 20, 2021, is a unique date for the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. It will hold two events in a single night: the ballet Catarina ou La Fille du Bandit by Cesare Pugni and the first Russian farce operetta Bogatyri (The Heroes) by Alexander Borodin.

The editor-in-chief of the magazine Valeria Uralskaya is invited to the theatre that night as an honourable guest.
On November 25, Chief Choirmaster of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Dmitri Khodosh will celebrate his double anniversary with his Gala Night concert “50 + 15”. The second number in the title refers to the years he dedicated to the theatre: Dmitri Gennadievich became the head of the theatre’s choir in 2006.

The Bolshoi Theatre of Russia launches a large-scale programme of performances that’ll last one year and is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Lavrovsky. One of the events of the programme will take place at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre on November 17, 2021. The Bolshoi Theatre principal dancers will take part in the gala concert.
