The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre invites Krasnoyarsk residents to the advance premiere of a rare opera-farce by Alexander Borodin Heroes. The performance will take place on Sunday, 13 December, at 6.30 p.m.
Guests of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will get acquainted with the new opera soloists Anna Avakyan and Edward Arutiunyan at the concert of romances (Russian art songs) Inspirational Poetic Lines. The singers joined the theatre’s opera company in October. Due to the tense epidemiological situation, they’ve not yet taken the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House.
Three opera performances of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre have been long-listed for the National Theatre Award Golden Mask -2021; they are Marevo (Haze) by Kirill Shirokov and Mark Buloshnikov, Feast in Time of Plague by Alexander Manotskov and Night at the Museu by Pyotr Pospelov.
Principal singer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Alexandra Cherpakova took part in the Siberian round of the 24th International Competition of Young Performers of Russian Romance Romanciada-2020 that took place in Tomsk. She won first place.
After a short forced hiatus due to a tense epidemiological situation, the team of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is sincerely happy to invite the audience to performances and concerts! Tickets will be on sale on November 15.

Krasnoyarsk can be proud of the results of the 2020 Golden Mask National Theatre Festival. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and the creative team of the Francis Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias opera production received the special award from the festival’s jury “For a new look at the opera genre in a new theatrical space”.
The Bolshoi Ballet competition of the federal TV channel Kultura begins today. Among others, the principal dancers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Anna Fedosova and Marcello Pelizzoni are going to win the hearts of the competition jury and viewers from entire Russia.
Dear spectators, due to the alarming increase in COVID-19 cases, the administration of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre decided to suspend performances until November 11, 2020.
Several young artists joined the opera and ballet companies of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House in October 2020. They are opera singers Anna Avakyan, Edward Arutyunyan, Valentin Kolesnikov, and ballet dancers Nikiya Zaychenko and Matvey Nikishaev.
