On February 29, The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre invites music amateurs to celebrate the birthday of the great composer by visiting the Vivat, Rossini! concert. The guests of the theatre will find themselves at a real birthday party that’ll include delicacies, a fascinating show and surely brilliant Gioachino Rossini’s music.
After a long break, the Peter Ludwig Hertel’s ballet La Fille Mal Gardée is back to the repertoire plan of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. It has been two years since the ballet was shown on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Opera House for the last time; the audience will have the opportunity to see it again on February 26, 2020.

The visual approach of Pyotr Pospelov’s one-act opera Night at the Museum or the Testament of the Master received the elements of kinetic sculptures and compositions of Jean Tinguely, the Swiss artist of the 20th century.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre will present the performance of Aida on February 14. The Verdi’s opera will be performed within the Bel Canto in Siberia project. The principal singer of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon Opera, laureate of international competitions Stanislav Shvets will come to the stage as Ramfis.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre is going to introduce the Pyotr Pospelov’s one-act opera Night at the Museum or the Testament of the Master to the audience on February 14 and 16. The leading tenor of the Novaya Opera Theatre, laureate of international competitions Yaroslav Abaimov is in the cast of the show.
On April 27 and 28, qualifying auditions of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation’s International Vocal Competition Jose Carreras Grand Prix will take place on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The tournament itself will be held in September 2020 at the Helikon Opera Music Theatre in Moscow.
On February 15, a concert of romances (Russian art songs) A Magic Moment I Remember will be held at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
In August 2020, artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre are going to bring two productions to Tallinn for the international Birgitta festival - Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky and Aida by Verdi.
As a part of the Young Conductors project, Ivan Velikanov will visit Krasnoyarsk in February 2020 - the conductor of the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre, the leader of the Tarusa Chamber Orchestra (the band performs ancient music using authentic old instruments).
