The 110th birthday anniversary of the outstanding ballerina Galina Ulanova is celebrated on January 8, 2020: all the January ballet performances in the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House are dedicated to this prominent Russian artist of the ballet art.
On January 27, the day the Leningrad siege was lifted 76 years ago, Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi will be performed at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. A prominent figure in world culture, Pavel Kogan, was invited as a music director and conductor.
The first days of the new 2020 won’t be holidays for many artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre because they’re going to introduce their new parts to the theatre’s audience.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will hold the premiere of a new version of Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi; it’ll be staged by production director Sergei Novikov, director of the Communications Department of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and a diploma winner at the 2nd International Nano-Opera Competition for Young Opera Directors.
In the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic, the awarding ceremony of the Krasnoyarsk Region cultural institutions’ employees took place. The deputy chairman of the regional government Alexei Podkorytov handed out honorary awards to 100 people: employees of museums, theatres, libraries, the Ministry of Culture, and veterans.
Principal soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will take part in the chamber music project A Feeling Expressed by a Romance. The concert will be held at the Siberian State Institute of Arts on December 23.
Artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre took part in the closing ceremony of the regional project Cultural Capital of Krasnoyarsk Region - 2019.
On December 21 and 22, the premiere of the Peter Pan children’s opera by Andrei Rubtsov will open the New Year Theatre Marathon at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House. The performance is supported by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre won the Voice of the People award, established by the Channel 8 Krasnoyarsk TV company.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s principal soloist, People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Efimov was awarded the badge of honour The 85th Anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Region. At the region hall, Governor Alexander Uss handed out awards to 60 residents of the Region.
