Artists and executive managers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre won new recognition of their creative merits. Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss granted awards today. The ceremony took place at the Krasnoyarsk regional government residence.
The People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Kuimov Memorial Gala will take place on April 8 at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The outstanding ballet dancer, attentive teacher, and kind-hearted person passed away at the end of February.
Honoured Artist of Russia, tenor Mikhail Gubsky was invited to the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre to sing the leading role of Ruggero Leoncavallo's opera Pagliacci. The artist will take the stage as the clown Canio on March 28.
In April, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is going to offer fans of Russian art a wonderful gift: guest stars - conductors and vocalists - will be engaged in several performances at once; these are operas Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin, The Queen of Spades by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Prisoner of the Caucasus by César Cui.
On March 27 and 28, 2021, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will introduce its version of Ruggero Leoncavallo's opera Pagliacci on its stage.
The soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Svetlana Cheremnova became a laureate of the 144th International Competition Festival of Children, Youth, Adult Art Groups and Performers Admiralteyskaya Zvezda. The event took place between March 12 and 15 in Krasnoyarsk.
Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades will be performed by invited musicians: soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Anna Nechaeva (soprano), soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Alexei Zelenkov (baritone), and Dmitri Yurovsky, music director and chief conductor of the latter theatre.
On April 27 and 28, qualifying auditions of the The Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre will perform at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on a two-day tour. On April 19 and 20, artists from St. Petersburg will present the performance Beyond the Sin to the music of Richard Wagner, Modest Mussorgsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Soloists of the Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre - laureate of international competitions Daria Ryabinko and Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mikhail Pirogov - took part in the 38th Chaliapin International Opera Festival. The festival was held in Kazan.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s soloist Anna Fedosova won the prestigious Soul of Dance award of the professional federal magazine Ballet in the nominated category Rising Star.
