On March 8 2020, the heart of Grigory Vasilyevich Kontsur, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Tyva, stopped beating. He had worked in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre for more than 30 years.
On March 6, the guest soloist, Honoured Artist of Russia Mikhail Gubsky will perform in Madama Butterfly opera by Puccini. Performing the part of Officer Pinkerton, he’ll replace the soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House Alexander Murashov.
The Giacomo Puccini’s opera Madame Butterfly will be conducted by the Italian guest conductor Lorenzo Bizzarri on March 6. This performance is a part of the Bel Canto in Siberia project. It is being run in the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre between February 14 and March 18.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet is going to hold Concerto Grande March on 18: this gala concert will close the Italian music festival Bel Canto in Siberia. Guest singers and a conductor will take part in the concert.

It has been two years since the ballet was shown on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Opera House for the last time; the audience will have the opportunity to see it again on February 26, 2020.
