On 21 November, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre officially inaugurated its second venue — located in the Metallurgists' Palace of Culture and Sports at 30 Telmana Street. The day before, a special presentation for the media took place.
Soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre have advanced to the semifinals of the international European competition for performers of Italian opera — Competizione dell’Opera.
The second stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre — located at the Metallurgists Palace of Culture and Sports (30 Telmana St.) — will host an exciting musical voyage: the concert-journey Around the World in 80 Minutes. The event will take place on November 28.
On November 19 and 20, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will present Alexander Glazunov’s ballet Raymonda.
Guest artists from Moscow will appear in the December opera shows at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre — soprano Marina Nerabeeva (the New Opera theatre) and bass Alexey Tikhomirov (the Helikon-Opera).
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre completed a highly successful two-day tour at the Sirius concert hall. On November 11 and 12, the main stage hosted productions of Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Delibes’ Lakmé, inaugurating the Opera Days project. The event is held on the federal territory of Sirius (the Krasnodar Region) with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
At the concert Baroque Jewels, part of the educational series Orchestra Formula, two rare instruments — the theorbo and the mandolin — will be heard for the first time in the foyer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on November 16.
The head of Krasnoyarsk Region, Mikhail Kotyukov, has presented opera soloist Anna Kiseliova of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre with the official badge and certificate conferring upon her the honorary title Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation.
On November 21, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will open its second venue — the Palace of Culture and Sports of Metallurgists (30 Telmana St.). The first event on the new stage, now officially named KRAZ-Opera, will be a concert from the series The Maestro Invites, conducted by Honoured Artist of Russia Anatoly Chepurnoy.
Soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Anna and Yuri Kudryavtsev, were invited to perform at one of Russia’s most prestigious concert venues — Zaryadye Hall in Moscow. The gala concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of People’s Artist of the USSR Maya Plisetskaya was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and ROSKONCERT.
