In June 2024, artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will present new performances in several productions.
On June 15, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will introduce The Schubertiad to the audience - the first concert from the author’s project Harp Invites. The project author is a concertmaster of the theatre orchestra, harpist Kira Lagozinskaya.
In Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades, the soloist of the Pushkin Nizhny Novgorod Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre Alina Otyakovskaya will take the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The guest will perform the leading female part of Lisa. The performance is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.
At the end of the season, soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region Daria Ryabinko, Inna Spodina, and Davit Yesayan, as well as the orchestra concertmaster Kira Lagozinskaya will take part in the events of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic Society.
Former principal dancer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Elena Svinko was included in the list of the most promising Russians under 30 drawn up by the Forbes magazine. And the readers’ voting resulted in her winning in the Art category. Nowadays, Elena is a principal dancer of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
The closing concert of the 28th Spring Choirs festival will be held on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on May 24.
Doctor of Art History Lyudmila Gavrilova will take part in the project Half an Hour Before the Third Bell and talk to the audience of the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera The Snow Maiden right before it starts. The meeting will take place in the foyer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre at 6.30 p.m. on May 23.
In July, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will go on tour to Moscow; there, it’ll present three productions - Dante's Catharsis, Barbe-Bleu, and Yermak - on the stage of the Helikon-Opera Music Theatre. But in June, before the tour, Krasnoyarsk spectators will have the chance to see these productions in their city.
The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is preparing an unusual concert for the audience: the soloist of the opera company Daria Frolova will perform songs of a star of a fantastic vocal gift - the “Inca princess” Yma Sumac.
The spectators of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin are to come to the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre a bit earlier before the show on May 8 and 9: they’ll take part in an educational event. At 18:30 on May 8 and at 17:30 on May 9, Lyudmila Gavrilova will deliver lectures in the second floor foyer.
