This year marks the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution of 1917. This is one of the major events of the XX century, which had a huge impact on the development of Russia and the world. 1917 became a frontier, forever dividing the history of the country into two epochs - before and after. On November 7, a grand concert dedicated to this date will be performed at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre are going to perform in Paris at the Embassy of the Russian Federation and at the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Centre where they’ll present a new project of the theatre “Unknown Siberia: under Paris Skies”.

At the height of winter, when December snowstorms are raging outside, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will show the warmest première of the season - the vocal and choreographic performance of Hanukkah, dedicated to the Jewish Festival of Lights.
On October 21, the usual version of the Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin" will be performed for the last time - the one that has been shown in our theatre since 2009. At the 9th international festival "Stars Parade in the Opera” in February, the audience will see the first performance of "Onegin" staged by the chief director of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Neeme Kuningas.
Dmitri Hvorostovsky is considered to be the true star of the national and world opera, and with good reason. Unique vocal, stunning charisma and true devotion to music allowed him to shoot to national prominence and to gain endless love of the audience.
The Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre has received a grant of 14,900,000 roubles from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The theatre was among the recipients of the federal state grant in 2017 for launching creative projects and the reimbursement of costs associated with their implementation.
On October 27, Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera "The Queen of Spades” will be performed at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre by the famous opera singer, soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko. The artist will sing the role of the Countess.
Good news for opera lovers! Soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre honored artist of Russia Roman Muravitsky will again perform at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
