For the first time the soloist of our theatre’s opera company Andrei Kolobov will sing the role of Grigoriy Otrepiev in the Modest Mussorgsky’s opera “Boris Godunov”. The opera will be performed as a part of the IX international festival “Stars Parade in the Opera” dedicated to Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
The international festival “Stars Parade in the Opera” goes on. On February 14, Modest Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov” is performed in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The performance is directed by Nadezhda Stolbova. This is the story of Boris the Tsar, who suffered great spiritual torments and whose spirit wasn’t strong.

On February 2, “Requiem” by Verdi was performed in memory of Dmitri Hvorostovsky in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The friends and colleagues of the singer came to his native city to honour the memory of this outstanding artist - soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre, People's artists of Russia Irina Dolzhenko and Oleg Kulko, Honoured Artist of Russia Mikhail Kazakov and a conductor from the USA Sergei Khanukaev.
As a part of the IX International Festival "Stars Parade in the Opera” which started on February 3, 2018, the exhibition dedicated to Dmitri Hvorostovsky was opened in the lobby of Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre. The exhibition embraces the artistic journey of the renowned singer - from the days he started his career up to his last days.
The former soloist of our Theatre, the current singer in the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow Anastasia Lepeshinskaya is back to Krasnoyarsk!
Darya Ryabinko took part in the opening performance of “Nabucco” by Verdi directed by the American director Yefim Meisel. The XXXVI Chaliapin Opera Festival was opened in the Tatar State academic opera and ballet theatre named after Musa Jalil with this performance. Our soloist sang the role of Fenena, Nabucco’s younger daughter.
Krasnoyarsk State opera and ballet theatre has been named after Dmitri Hvorostovsky. This was announced by the acting Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Elena Mironenko today at the press conference that took place on the occasion of the opening of the IX international festival “Stars Parade. Russian Opera. In memory of Dmitri Hvorostovsky”. The festival lasts from February 3 up to March 28, it takes place in Krasnoyarsk.
Famous Estonian sculptor and artist Tauno Kangro will take part in the opening performance of the one-act opera and happening “Raphael” on February 9 and 10.
