The opera soloist Alexandra Cherpakova won the 46th Russian Review Contest of Vocal Graduates of Music High Schools!
On April 21, the 70 years old soloist of our theatre, Honoured Artist of Russia Zhaneta Tarayan passed away.
And again soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky prove that they are one of the best! Our opera soloist Sevastian Martyiniuk took the third place at the prestigious international competition of opera singers "Ferruccio Tagliavini". The competition was held in the Austrian town of Deutschlandberg on April 11-18.
On April 27 and 28, in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky the ballet opera “Carmen” based upon the music of Bizet is staged again by Honoured Artist of Russia Sergei Bobrov. The choreographic and vocal incarnation of the story of the indomitable gitana is combined within one performance for the first time in the history of the "Carmen” stagings.
The soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky Daria Frolova won the XI International Festival Contest “Yuzhnouralsk-Salzburg”. She was the first in the nomination “Soloists” and got an invitation to take part in the Salzburger Festspiele in the summer of 2018.
The ballet troupe of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky finished its tour around the cities and towns of Great Britain. For about four months our artists have given more than 100 performances nearly in 20 cities and towns of the UK.
On April 7, the day of her birth, Honoured Artist of Russia Vera Baranova invites everyone to her Night Special at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky! The director of the concert is Nadezhda Stolbova.
The ballet soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Mana Kuvabara took 2nd place at the International Ballet Competition, which took place in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, from 21 till 26 March.
On April 1, a concert “Ave Maria” will be performed in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A. Hvorostovsky in memory of the victims of the fire in the Winter Cherry shopping centre in Kemerovo. It’ll replace the previously announced comic opera “Viva la Mamma” by Gaetano Donizetti.
The IX International Festival "Stars Parade in the Opera" is coming to an end. It was dedicated to People's Artist of Russia Dmitri Hvorostovsky this year. On March 28, a final gala concert will take place in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The highlight of the event is going to be the opening of the Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s dressing room.
