So Beautiful, So Fresh the Roses Were: not only Silver Age poets’ works!
On April 13, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will host a meeting with musicians and poets of the Silver Age in an imaginary music lounge. The programme of the romance songs concert So Beautiful, So Fresh the Roses Were includes works created on the cusp of the 19th and 20th centuries as well as the ones of younger composers including music by the soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Alexander Mikhaliov.

Snow Maiden: debuts of the fairy-tale ballet
Between 9 and 11 April, a series of five shows of The Snow Maiden to the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky will be presented to ballet fans on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Five shows - that is an excellent chance for everyone who loves this ballet to watch it. Several ballet dancers of the theatre will perform their roles in The Snow Maiden for the first time.

Fragments of rare ballets at the Alexander Kuimov Memorial Night
The People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Kuimov Memorial The concert will take place on April 8 at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The concert programme includes rare archival video recordings and fragments of ballets that are rarely performed on the theatre’s stage.

Don Giovanni by Mozart within the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival in Krasnoyarsk
At the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Don Giovanni will be staged to a libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte. The performance will be the highlight opera event of the 2nd Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival. This news was announced at a large press conference held at the theatre.

Krasnoyarsk ballet fans will see the updated version of Romeo and Juliet
In the workshops of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, the restoration of costumes and stage design elements of Sergei Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet was carried out. Krasnoyarsk residents will be able to see the updated ballet on March 31, April 1 and 2.

Artists and executive managers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre won new recognition of their creative merits. Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss granted awards today. The ceremony took place at the Krasnoyarsk regional government residence.

Mikhail Gubsky will take part in the opera Pagliacci premiere performance
Honoured Artist of Russia, tenor Mikhail Gubsky was invited to the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre to sing the leading role of Ruggero Leoncavallo's opera Pagliacci. The artist will take the stage as the clown Canio on March 28.
