The Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Dmitri Hvorostovsky received a grant from the President of the Russian Federation again. It’ll be channelled for creating two exhibitions “The history of the performances of the opera “Prince Igor” by Borodin”.
The opera soloist Alexander Mikhalev and artistic director of opera festivals and guest opera projects of our theatre, People's Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko performed in Florence (Italy). They took part in a chamber concert of opera music dedicated to Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
On May 16 and 17, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky will host the graduation concerts of the Krasnoyarsk Choreographic College “Here the Stars are Being Lit!”. Director and Art Director of the college, Honoured Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Arkady Zinov staged the performances.
On April 27 and 28, the performance of the ballet opera “Carmen” will take place on our stage - for the first time, the role of José will be performed by the ballet soloist Georgi Bolsunovsky.
The opera soloist Alexandra Cherpakova won the 46th Russian Review Contest of Vocal Graduates of Music High Schools!
On April 21, the 70 years old soloist of our theatre, Honoured Artist of Russia Zhaneta Tarayan passed away.
And again soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky prove that they are one of the best! Our opera soloist Sevastian Martyiniuk took the third place at the prestigious international competition of opera singers "Ferruccio Tagliavini". The competition was held in the Austrian town of Deutschlandberg on April 11-18.
On April 27 and 28, in the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky the ballet opera “Carmen” based upon the music of Bizet is staged again by Honoured Artist of Russia Sergei Bobrov. The choreographic and vocal incarnation of the story of the indomitable gitana is combined within one performance for the first time in the history of the "Carmen” stagings.
The soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky Daria Frolova won the XI International Festival Contest “Yuzhnouralsk-Salzburg”. She was the first in the nomination “Soloists” and got an invitation to take part in the Salzburger Festspiele in the summer of 2018.
The ballet troupe of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre named after D.A.Hvorostovsky finished its tour around the cities and towns of Great Britain. For about four months our artists have given more than 100 performances nearly in 20 cities and towns of the UK.
