Audience meet-and-greets to precede the Tuvan musical The Legend of the Winds
Before the two November performances of the Tuvan musical The Legend of the Winds by Urana Khomushku and Ruslan Chokurov, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will host brief audience meet-and-greets with the creators of the production. The discussions, held in the theatre foyer within the Half an Hour Before the Premiere project, will be moderated by musicologist Lyudmila Gavrilova.

The concert in memory of Irina Arkhipova to be televised
A concert marking the centenary of the birth of Irina Arkhipova — People’s Artist of the USSR, legendary singer and actress, teacher, and mentor to many young talents — took place on October 25 at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Guest soloists Irina Vashchenko and Rauf Timergazin to perform in The Queen of Spades
On November 1 and 2, the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will host guest artists in Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s opera The Queen of Spades: soprano singer Irina Vashchenko from the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre, and baritone Rauf Timergazin. Both singers are well known to Krasnoyarsk audiences.

Nikita Gusmanov to perform at the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Hall
Tenor Nikita Gusmanov, soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, will take part in the performance of Alina Nebykova’s contemporary opera Zhdana. The Krasnoyarsk premiere of this horror opera, as the composer defines the genre, will take place in the Small Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic on October 12.
