Baritone singer Sevastian Martyniuk, a soloist with the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, has won Second Prize at the 13th Bibigul Tulegenova International Vocal Competition.

Anna Kiseliova received the title of Honoured Artist of Russia
On 26 September 2025, according to the Decree No. 686, the title of Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation was conferred on Anna Kiseliova, soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Opera soloist and teacher Svetlana Efremova celebrates her anniversary
Honoured Artist of Russia, soprano Svetlana Efremova, who has devoted 30 years to the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, is celebrating a milestone anniversary. A festive tribute concert will take place in the Small Concert Hall of the Hvorostovsky Institute of Arts on 26 September.

Audiences of Eugene Onegin to try their hand at Tatiana’s Letter in calligraphy
Those attending the September performances of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin are encouraged to arrive an hour early. Before the curtain rises on 20 and 21 September, the foyer of the second floor will host a unique workshop, Tatiana’s Letter, where guests will learn the art of cursive writing with a pointed pen. It's the first event of its kind at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Long list for the Onegin Opera Award announced
The 10th National Opera Award Onegin has closed its call for entries. The long list includes 54 productions from 28 theatres across Russia — from Yakutia to Kislovodsk. Among them are 14 nominations for the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Opera for the Whole Family at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre
Opera for the Whole Family is a new project by the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre designed to introduce children aged 5 to 10 and their parents to the world of classical art. Admission is free, but only for those who have purchased tickets to the performance Dreamer and His Friends.

The first concert of the Orchestra Formula cycle in the new season to be dedicated to the music of Italy
The first concert of the educational project Formula of the Orchestra in the theatre’s 48th season will be titled Sounds of Sunny Italy. It'll take place on the main stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on September 24. The programme spans works by Italian composers from the Baroque era to the 21st century, featuring both instrumental and vocal music.

Krasnoyarsk to host the Tuva musical The Legend of the Winds
On November 6 and 7, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will welcome the National Music and Drama Theatre of the Republic of Tuva named after Viktor Kok-ool for a two-day tour. The company will present the musical The Legend of the Winds (Syrın-Khattyn Toozhuzu in Tuvan).
